Bangladesh’s Hafez Muaz Mahmud has brought global pride to his country by winning the International Hifzul Quran Competition. In a prestigious ceremony held on October 30, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan awarded Muaz the champion’s crest, recognizing his outstanding achievement in Quran memorization.
Muaz represented Bangladesh in the international arena after securing first place in the national selection round organized by the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. His success highlights Bangladesh’s remarkable presence among 123 participating countries in the 44th International Hifzul Quran Competition in Makkah this past August, where Muaz also clinched first place in the 15-para category.
Currently, Muaz is a student in the Department of Kibtab at Markazu Faizil Quran Al-Islami, Mirpur-1, Dhaka, where he continues to develop his exceptional skills.
