The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has revealed the complete lineup for its 45th edition, taking place from November 13 to 22, 2024, at Cairo Opera House. In a proud moment for Bangladesh, Priyo Maloti, directed by Shankha Das Gupta and featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury, has been selected to represent the nation in CIFF’s World Cinema category. Translating to “Dear Maloti” in English, the film brings Bangladesh’s rich storytelling to an international audience.
