Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has once again brought pride to the nation. The university’s innovative student team “Team Crack Platoon” achieved third place in the PR Awards category at the prestigious Formula SAE Japan 2025 competition.
The event was held from September 8 to 13 at Aichi Sky Expo, Japan, featuring 90 student teams from leading universities across the globe. Representing the entire South Asian region, RUET’s team stood out as the only South Asian participant in this international arena.
This year, the team showcased their new project “CP–Astrion”, a cutting-edge electric formula car. The vehicle is designed with advanced battery technology, lightweight composite body materials, and aerodynamic wings. Remarkably, the battery system was sponsored directly by Tesla, underlining the global recognition of their work.
RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Razzaque congratulated the team, praising their achievement. In a statement, he said:
“RUET has always encouraged innovation and research. Our students are now proving their excellence not only within Bangladesh but also on the world stage.”
This milestone reinforces RUET’s growing reputation for nurturing future engineers and innovators who continue to push technological boundaries.
