Taylor Swift has once again claimed the crown as Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year, a feat she also achieved last year. Spotify Wrapped 2024, the annual event summarizing user interactions on the platform, highlighted Swift’s dominance in the music industry.
Her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, was the most-streamed album globally. The record-breaking project amassed over 300 million streams in a single day upon release and exceeded 1 billion streams within its first week in April. Overall, Taylor Swift’s music generated a staggering 26.6 billion streams on Spotify this year.
Other artists on the list of most-streamed albums included Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard and Soft), Sabrina Carpenter (Short n’ Sweet), and Karol G (Mañana Será Bonito). Taylor’s albums 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and Lover also secured top positions.
While Swift reigned supreme in artist rankings, Sabrina Carpenter’s song Espresso claimed the title of the most-streamed track, with 1.6 billion streams globally. Other standout tracks included Beautiful Things by Benson Boone and Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift.
To honor this monumental achievement, Spotify introduced a special Wrapped badge displayed on Swift’s Spotify profile, cementing her position as a global music icon.
