Suzuki Bangladesh has unveiled the highly anticipated Suzuki Gixxer 250 Series, introducing two new models to the Bangladeshi market. The grand launch event took place on December 1, 2024, in Dhaka, attended by Suzuki brand ambassador Siam Ahmed alongside senior officials from the company. The occasion marked an important milestone for the brand, aiming to expand its presence in the competitive motorbike market.
The Gixxer 250 Series includes two variants: the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250, both developed with inspiration from Suzuki’s MotoGP technology. Both models feature a 250cc fuel-injected, oil-cooled engine powered by Suzuki’s Oil Cooling System (SOCS). This system is designed to provide efficient heat management, ensuring consistent performance during long rides.
Additional key features of the Gixxer 250 Series include a 6-speed gearbox, enabling smoother transitions for high-speed rides, and dual-channel ABS, which enhances braking safety. The bikes are also equipped with LED lighting, offering a modern look and better visibility. To cater to different preferences, Suzuki has introduced stylish color options for both models.
According to Suzuki officials, the Gixxer 250 Series is designed to cater to motorbike enthusiasts who value a balance of performance, safety, and aesthetics. While the Gixxer 250 offers a more traditional road bike experience, the Gixxer SF 250 targets riders looking for a sportier, fully-faired design.
With the launch of these models, Suzuki aims to strengthen its foothold in the mid-range motorcycle market in Bangladesh, appealing to urban riders and long-distance bikers alike. Industry experts view this launch as a significant step in raising competition in the segment.
