Soumik Hasan Shranto, from BRAC University, has emerged as the champion of the 9th National Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), held on January 19, 2025, under the banner of EO Bangladesh. Serving as the Chief Marketing Officer of DuboTech, an underwater technology initiative, Shranto captivated the panel of judges with his visionary approach. His achievement secured him Tk 5 Lakh in prize money and a coveted spot in the GSEA Global quarter-finals, set to take place in Nagpur, India, on March 10.
The competition’s runner-up was Mohammad Mohiuddin Shourav from IBA Dhaka University, who presented his eco-focused business, “Wastech.”
The GSEA, a prestigious platform celebrating young entrepreneurial talent, highlights the importance of balancing academics with bold business endeavors. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Honorable Adviser to the Ministry of Finance, graced the event, further emphasizing its significance.
