Bangladeshi Student Rabita Wins Gold in Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition

In a remarkable achievement, Rabita Binte Rezaul, a 9th-grade student from Morning Glory School and College in Savar Cantonment, Dhaka, has won the prestigious Gold Award in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition 2024. Competing in the Junior Category, her essay titled “Echoes of the Green Realm” focused on the torment nature endures due to human activities under the guise of development.

This is the first time Rabita participated in the competition, and her win has brought immense pride not only to her family but to her country as well. She expressed her excitement and gratitude, saying, “This achievement is not just mine; it’s a win for my country and countrymen.”

Rabita is actively involved in scouting at her school and currently serves as Assistant Cultural Captain for Begum Rokeya House. Known for her passion for writing, debating, and public speaking, she hopes to participate in the competition again in the coming years.

Her father, Mohammad Rezaul Karim, a businessman, and her mother, Umme Kulsum, a homemaker, are overjoyed with her success.
