Nadimur Abrar, a distinguished alumnus of BUET, has recently joined Netflix as a Senior Software Engineer, adding another milestone to his impressive career in the global tech industry.
Nadimur’s professional journey began at Samsung. Within just a year, he secured a position at Google Poland as a Software Engineer, working primarily in Google Cloud and autoscaling technologies for nearly two and a half years. 
Following his tenure at Google, he transitioned to another global tech giant, Huawei, where he served as a Senior Software Engineer in Poland for approximately three and a half years. In March 2025, Nadimur took the next step in his career by joining Netflix, continuing to expand his expertise in software engineering at a senior level.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Nadimur remains connected to national initiatives. He is actively collaborating with the Bangladesh Computer Council to support the government’s cloud strategy and deployment projects.
An alumnus of Ispahani Public School and College, Cumilla, Nadimur completed both his SSC and HSC before pursuing higher education at BUET, where he was deeply involved in competitive programming. His journey stands as an inspiration for many aspiring tech professionals from Bangladesh.
As he steps into this exciting new role at Netflix, the tech community eagerly anticipates his contributions — possibly shaping new features that will redefine the streaming experience for users worldwide.
