The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has jumped once again, now standing at Tk1,455 after a Tk35 increase, effective from Wednesday evening. This latest hike was announced by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
The rise follows a previous increase of Tk44 in September, marking the second price adjustment in just over a month. Earlier, in August, the price had also been raised by Tk11, underscoring a continuous trend of rising fuel costs.
The frequent increases in LPG prices have sparked concerns among consumers, particularly as this essential fuel is widely used for cooking across Bangladesh. Many households are feeling the pressure of these persistent hikes, raising questions about affordability in the face of rising living expenses.
