U.S. consumers alone contributed $13.3 billion to that total, as reported by Adobe. The day marked the culmination of Cyber Week, which saw an overall spend of $314.9 billion globally and $41.1 billion in the U.S.
Sales surged due to hefty discounts, averaging up to 40%, across major product categories. Adobe noted a 7.3% year-over-year increase in U.S. Cyber Monday sales, while Salesforce observed a global growth of 3%.
Interestingly, Black Friday 2024 still claimed the title of the highest single-day global spend, with $74.4 billion globally and $17.6 billion in the U.S.
The holiday shopping season continues to show growth overall. Adobe projects total U.S. holiday sales to reach $240.8 billion, an 8.4% increase from last year.
