The legendary Indian crime series CID is officially making a return after a 6-year break. Sony TV announced the comeback on Friday with an exciting clip featuring fan-favorites ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), and Daya (Daya Shetty). The video opens with ACP Pradyuman stepping out of a police car in heavy rain, holding an umbrella as he hurries towards a bomb site, intensifying the suspense. As the camera captures Abhijeet’s intense gaze, fans are taken back to the thrill of the original.
Originally aired in 1998, CID became one of India’s longest-running television series, ending in 2018 after a remarkable 20-year run. In a past interview, Satam hinted that the show’s hiatus might have resulted from creative disagreements between the show’s producers and the channel. Now, after much anticipation, fans can once again dive into the thrilling cases and iconic moments that made CID a household favorite.
