The 11th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to begin on December 30, 2025. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has finalized the schedule and confirmed venues in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet.
Adding a unique touch, the BCB unveiled its July Tribute Mascot during the lively “Youth Festival 2025,” organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The festival also featured a screening of the documentary “July-Onirban,” paying homage to the martyrs of the July-August uprising.
The event was graced by notable figures, including Youth and Sports Ministry Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, BCB President Faruk Ahmed, and newly-elected BFF President Tabith Awal. Players from Bangladesh’s men’s and women’s cricket teams joined the celebration alongside students from schools and colleges.
Opening ceremonies are planned for December 23 in Mirpur, December 25 in Chattogram’s MA Aziz Stadium, and December 27 in Sylhet District Stadium.
This year’s BPL aims to elevate the cricketing experience with digital ticketing, free water for fans, cutting-edge technology, seasoned umpires, and a surprise-filled opening ceremony. The tournament, featuring seven competitive teams, will run until February 7, 2026, promising a thrilling season for cricket enthusiasts.
